Differential pressure gauge and gauge pressure seem to be the same. In fact, these are two different kinds of measuring products. This post will explain the difference between the differential pressure gauge and pressure gauge.
1. The purpose of measurement
Differential pressure gauge |
Pressure gauge |
|
Measures the pressure difference between two points in a system. It is used to check the differential pressure in two areas with different levels of cleanliness, or between a controlled environment and an uncontrolled environment. | Measures the pressure difference relative to atmospheric pressure in the gauge installation position. The height of the gauge installation position will give different atmospheric pressure values. |
2. Measuring environment
- Differential pressure gauge: Normally used in a place that we need to determine the pressure difference between two areas in a system, such as input and output of valves
-
Pressure gauge: Normally used in a place that pressure measurement is required to indicate whether the pressure value is appropriate.
